HILWOOD EXPANDS WITH THIRD ACQUISITION

Hilwood Resorts and Hotels (“Hilwood”) is pleased to announce that it has made its third acquisition, with the completion of the purchase of the Grade II-Listed Bailbrook House conference centre from the Sundial Group for £9 million.

The late 18th Century property is situated one mile to the east of Bath City centre adjoining the village of Batheaston near Bath. The property has extensive grounds of approximately 18.5 acres (7.49 hectares) and currently comprises 78 bedrooms, 30 training and conference rooms, a 100-cover restaurant, bar and gym facilities. Hilwood will continue to operate the conference and business centre whilst it prepares to enhance the buildings through its own innovative asset management skills to ultimately reposition the property as a premium luxury resort.
