CATERING OFFER INCREASED AT SOUTHSIDE, WANDSWORTH

20 May 2009

Popular fast food outlet Subway and cafe operator Coffee Republic are the latest two brands to open at Metro Shopping Fund's Southside Shopping Centre in Wandsworth.

Operating from two bespoke mall cafe kiosks with seating overlooking Southside's busy Central Mall, Subway and Coffee Republic join the extensive catering line up that includes Ekachai, Nandos, Pizza Hut, Spur Steakhouse and Grill, McDonalds and KFC. Located opposite the entrance to Southside's 14-screen Cineworld, both the fast food sandwich bar and cafe complement the existing catering offer at Southside.

With a 40,000sq ft Waitrose and major fashion and retail brands including Gap, Primark, H&M, River Island, UniQlo and Oliver Bonas, Southside has been transformed in recent years with better mix and choice of brands and continued investment and improvement.

Subway has opened a 1,350 sq ft mall cafe taken on a 5-year lease, while Coffee Republic has opened a 1,400 sq ft cafe unit taken on a 15-year lease.

Metro Shopping Fund Limited
The Metro Shopping Fund was established in June 2004 as a 50/50 partnership between Delancey and Land Securities Group PLC. The Fund's total assets cover nearly 1 million sq ft (92,900 sq m) of space, across London, valued at approximately £0.5 billion.
