Beckenham
Beckenham, a 26.6 acre development site located just 10 miles from Central London, was acquired in December 2010. The freehold was acquired for a nominal sum in 2013.
- Situated south of Park Langley in a high class residential area, residents and visitors can benefit from the direct rail commuter route from Eden Park railway station and the nearby Langley Park golf course.
- Planning consent was granted in July 2012 for a residential led mixed-use masterplan, which has since lapsed. Demolition and remediation works were concluded in October 2014.
- In October 2017, contracts exchanged with a major house developer, a care home developer and a sports academy. A new joint planning application over the entire site was submitted in January 2018 for a comprehensive development of 280 residential dwellings, 100-bed care home along with the creation of a new leisure facility, cycle paths, an attenuation lake, hard & soft landscaping, infrastructure works and a security access lodge, which was approved in June 2019.
- The site sales competed in September 2019 (care home), November 2019 (residential element) and January 2020 (a sports academy).
