Responsible Business

Delancey UK Schools’ Chess Challenge

Delancey conducts its business activities to the highest standard of corporate and ethical governance and is a Registered Investment Adviser with the US Securities Exchange Commission (SEC)*, whilst also being regulated by the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

Delancey’s Governance & Operational Board considers all regulatory, compliance and operational risk matters affecting the business and client-related activity.  Delancey operates within a structured regulatory environment, overseen by the Chief Compliance Officer, who also acts in the same capacity for all the group's advisory firms – implementing a consistent and uniform approach.  This includes ensuring that all regulatory reporting is undertaken on a timely basis and adhering to regulatory and legislative guidelines.

In our roles as Investment Adviser and Development Manager, acting on behalf of our client funds, we drive a brief that seeks to enhance environmental, sustainability and socially responsible issues, which are then appropriately considered and managed in relation to each asset/project. We have made the link between financial success and social progress, and we know that the current environmental crises are both a risk and an opportunity to our business.

Our Shared Values guide our actions and conduct in pursuit of our business strategies. We believe having these values underpinning our approach are a solid foundation for delivering value with financial and social enterprise.

Our Shared Values

At Delancey we have a passion for property. It is an enthusiasm that goes beyond the recognition that real estate is an effective investment vehicle and beyond solely maximising financial returns. Delancey has considerable experience of leading and contributing to effective strong, community-based organisations that work in partnership with public sector bodies and private occupiers in order to provide cleaner, safer neighbourhoods.

We are committed to making a positive contribution to the local communities in which individual assets are based. As a result, we are constantly on the lookout for ways in which we can make much needed contributions to the community, and together with other colleagues and partners in the property sector we support a number of charities, art initiatives and other deserving causes in the world of art, culture, young people, education and mental health on a London and UK-wide basis. The support is from both donations and staff participation in fundraising events.

Over recent years staff volunteering has covered packaging festive food parcels, toy donations, community gardening, serving food and running craft activities at community events. Charities such as Crisis, Cancer Research and the East End Community Foundation are just a few examples of organisations that Delancey have supported. In total since 2007, Delancey have contributed circa £3.8m to CSR initiatives, as well as consistently providing complimentary consultancy services to charitable initiatives metrics.

Delancey has won the following awards and accreditations on behalf of clients supporting our strong track record in ESG performance:
